Why We Collect Your Information
We gather information about you so that we can:
• Help design and implement a successful Request for Proposal Process (RFP).
And
• Comply with the Federal and State laws and regulations that govern us.
What Information We Collect and Maintain
Painted Wall Consulting does collect personal information regarding the Investment Committee Members or the Retirement Plan Participants. We do not collect social security numbers, dates of birth, personal financial information or non-publicly available information regarding your company.
We may collect contact information, roles and names of the members of the Retirement Plan Investment Committee at the time of engagement, publicly available information derived from the Form 5500, information you authorize us to receive from your recordkeeper, TPA, current Advisor, other retirement plan vendors or third parties to conduct an effective RFP. This information may include the current assets of the retirement plan publicly available from the Form 5500, current retirement plan investment menu, number of plan participants, service issues and concerns and other information from ongoing meetings that is shared by you regarding vendors for your retirement plan. This information is maintained by Painted Wall Consulting after the RFP process is completed for recordkeeping purposes of our engagement.
What Information We Disclose
We are permitted by law to disclose nonpublic information about you to unaffiliated third parties in certain circumstances. For example, in order for us to conduct the RFP we may disclose your retirement plan’s publicly available information to firms participating in the RFP or independent contractors hired by Painted Wall Consulting to conduct the RFP.
Otherwise, Painted Wall Consulting will not disclose any Investment Committee Information or Retirement Plan information unless:
• We receive your prior written consent; or
• When required by law such as a DOL or IRS audit of your plan.
How We Protect Your Personal Information
Privacy is integrated into our practce at Painted Wall Consulting. We restrict and limit access to client information only to those who need to carry out their business functions. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your confidential personal information.
