What We Do
Our mission is to protect the financial well-being of both employers and employees in group retirement plans by enabling Plan Sponsors and Investment Committee members to fulfill their fiduciary duties.
Advisory Request for Proposal (RFP) Services:
We will facilitate your search for a Retirement Plan Adviser by guiding your investment committee through each step of the Request for Proposal (RFP) process. Through consultation with you, we’ll identify any current service concerns with your existing advisor and align our approach with your plan’s specific objectives. We’ll develop tailored screening criteria to evaluate participating firms based on these priorities, select retirement plan advisory firms to include in the RFP, and create the RFP questionnaire that will be sent to participating vendors. Our services also include conducting a thorough fee and service benchmarking to ensure competitiveness and value, as well as managing all communication with the participating RFP vendors. Additionally, we actively participate in meetings with potential firms and, if preferred, take a leading role in presentation meetings and related discussions. We will further assist in reviewing and analyzing RFP responses, ensuring your investment committee has the support needed to make a well-informed final selection.
Establishing a Group Retirement Plan:
We will guide your company through the process of establishing a group retirement plan, beginning with the formation of an investment committee, related fiduciary education, and necessary documentation to ensure a smooth experience as you introduce this benefit for the first time. We begin with a consultation to understand your specific goals, workforce needs, and initial preferences regarding plan features, allowing us to provide tailored feedback aligned with your objectives. As part of our service, we will evaluate whether your plan should consider joining a Pooled Employer Plan (PEP) or maintain its own advisor, assessing the benefits and drawbacks of each option based on your company’s unique circumstances, including cost, administrative efficiency, and investment opportunities, to determine the best fit for your organizational needs and employee value. With this input, we’ll develop customized criteria to evaluate plan designs, manage the selection process to identify and engage suitable PEPs/advisors, create a detailed RFP questionnaire to gather proposals, and conduct benchmarking on plan fees and services to ensure both cost-effectiveness and quality offerings. Our team will handle all communications with potential vendors and facilitate key discussions, joining you in meetings to clarify each proposal’s advantages and considerations. Once a vendor is selected, they will assist you with the selection of additional vendors, plan design, and implementation, ensuring a successful plan launch tailored to your organization’s needs.
Establishing an Investment Committee:
Establishing an effective investment committee is crucial for the successful oversight of your group retirement plan, as it plays a vital role in ensuring fiduciary responsibilities are met and decisions align with the best interests of participants. We can assist your company in creating an investment committee for the first time, guiding you through the selection of members and defining their roles and responsibilities to ensure a balanced and knowledgeable group. For organizations with existing committees, we offer evaluations to assess their effectiveness and identify areas for improvement, and if needed, we can help reestablish a committee that operates more efficiently and effectively, ensuring compliance with fiduciary obligations while enhancing overall governance. Our support includes providing fiduciary training, equipping committee members with the knowledge to fulfill their responsibilities confidently, as well as supplying necessary documentation to formalize the committee’s structure and procedures, helping to establish clear guidelines for decision-making and accountability. Through our comprehensive approach, we ensure that your investment committee is well-prepared to meet the challenges of managing your retirement plan and safeguarding the interests of your employees.
